The frame itself is made cheaply, but at this price that is to be expected. The front piece which holds the lenses is made of metal, while the pieces behind the hinges which go over the ears are made of plastic. The hinges seem kind of flimsy, but not bad. The only real problem I have with the frames is that the front piece is not matte, but shiny. While these frames do have their problems they are a really good deal.
